White Christmas

The odds are shortening for a white Christmas in England, I can't remember the last time there was really subtantial snow on THE DAY, probably about 1980.

But as you can see from the photos I took today, things are looking quite good this year in Yorkshire.

Keep everything crossed.

Happy Birthday Miss Matilda

Make mine a Champagne cocktail

1 sugar cube
1 dash of Angostura bitters
1 (large) dash of brandy
Top up glass with chilled champagne

Sparkling wine or a perry such as Babycham or Lambrini
also work well instead of the Champagne.
